Welcome

The pandemic contributed to an increase in anxiety, depression, and social isolation, leading to a rise in self-harm and suicidal thoughts among young people across Los Angeles County.
A combination of factors—including academic and career stress, substance abuse as a coping mechanism, trauma from loss, and family stress, an already vulnerable situation. On top of that, the lack of accessible mental health resources further deepened the crisis.
Our role in the community for more than a decade, EYS has stood on the frontlines of community advocacy and mental health support, particularly in underserved areas.
We have delivered intense, impactful mentoring services to middle and high school students throughout Los Angeles County, ensuring that families have access to life-changing resources without financial burden.
Grow Your Vision
Our work focuses on addressing the specific trauma faced by many of the young people we serve, including social injustice, family dysfunction, violence, mental and physical abuse, gang involvement, peer pressure, and sex trafficking.
Unfortunately, these experiences can create a lack of trust in traditional mental health support, which is why our approach is always personalized and geared toward dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health.
We believe it is essential to listen to young people, support them where they are, and provide them with the tools they need to heal. At the heart of EYS is our mission: "Provide a village with impact that protects our young people by giving them a voice without judgment through effective mental health and mentor support."
This mission guides every interaction we have with the young people in our care.
We empower youth to express themselves freely and confidently, knowing that they are met with compassion, understanding, and the unwavering belief that they deserve healing.
Gratitude to Our Young People, Advocates and Leaders that we serve, we want to say: Thank you. Thank you for showing up for yourselves, for being transparent, and for staying open to healing—even when it feels impossible. Your courage and resilience inspire us every day, and we are committed to showing up for you because you’ve shown up for yourselves.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Community leaders, advocates, organizations, and families—seen and unseen, heard and unheard, with integrity and purpose—we extend our deepest gratitude.
